I’m Jim Strickland, a criminal defense attorney based right here in Newnan, Georgia. With over a decade of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to representing clients in a wide range of criminal cases. As someone who was born and raised in Newnan, I have a deep connection to this community, and that connection drives my passion for providing personalized legal representation to those who need it most. My journey into law began at Kennesaw State University, where I first discovered my interest in the legal field. I then transferred to the University of Georgia to major in Criminal Justice, which laid the foundation for my future career. Later, I attended the University of Arkansas School of Law, where I honed my skills and was honored as the Ben J. Altheimer Moot Court Champion.
Throughout my career, I’ve handled hundreds of cases, from misdemeanors and traffic violations to serious felonies like armed robbery and aggravated assault. I’m committed to approaching every case with honesty, integrity, and a deep understanding of the legal system. As a DUI Field Sobriety Test certified attorney and a member of the National College for DUI Defense, I’m well-equipped to take on even the most complex DUI cases. My commitment to my clients and my community is at the heart of everything I do, and I’m proud to be an advocate for the people of Coweta, Troup, Fayette, Heard, Meriwether, and Carroll Counties.
